The Teign Crest

Shaldon

(A Poem by John Mitchel)

Poem for Teign Crest
There are Salmon in the Teign running with the tide,
And a family of Salmon running a Guest House on the side.
A quaint historic house with an atmosphere of ease,
Where everything is done, simply to please.

Wake up to s harbour view and breakfast at your leisure,
Served by the family, which makes your stay a pleasure.
Or eat cream teas on the terrace to a panoramic scene,
Indulge in Katrina's scone, and lots of clotted cream.

So forget all your deadlines and the troubles on your mind,
Be thankful for the 'Teign Crest' where peace you'll find.
Enjoy the scene from your window, be it boats on the beach,
Or visit many of Devon's attractions within easy reach.
