From Headlands you can explore Teignbridge, Torbay, South Hams and Dartmoor. For beaches the South Devon Coast is hard to beat.
Access to the South West Coast Path is a few minutes walk from Headlands self catering accommodation and offers panoramic vistas over Babbacombe Bay and Lyme Bay.
Headlands sits in the Maidencombe Valley, looking down through the unspoiled countryside. The Valley leads down to the small red-sand stone beach at Anstey’s Cove.
The fields along the coast in this area are home to the very rare cirl bunting - a species of bird which can now only be found in South Devon.
There are only around 700 pairs left in the UK, and all are in South Devon. However, they're highly secretive so you'll be lucky to spot one!
If you spot a friendly seal who frolics in the sea off Maidencombe Beach, he's called Sammy.
