Teign Crest, Ensuite Bed & Breakfast Accommodation Shaldon

Bishopsteignton

Situated on the hillside to the north of the beautiful Teign Estuary, between the towns of Teignmouth and Newton Abbot. Ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday with a local vineyard and many country walks. You are only 10 minutes from the beach and 20 minutes from the Exeter.

The historic village of Bishopsteignton, which is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, then named Taintona, still retains some of its early buildings and has an olde-world charm. lt benefits from being predominately south facing and nestles into the hillside overlooking the tidal estuary of the River Teign. The village is situated approximately equi-distant between the coastal town of Teignmouth and the market town of Newton Abbot.

The village itself has a post office, general store, garage, chemist, two pubs, small hotel, a primary school and four churches. Ideal for a quiet relaxing holiday with a local vineyard and many country walks.
